The detention Kid had that day was the best he had of all the other times.  Stein didn't want them to talk, but he didn't say they couldn't sit next to each other and pass notes.  The whole time, they passed notes back and forth.  Each time, Maka would giggle and blush alittle.  Kid missed seeing her like that.  This whole thing had been a mess and he was happy to see Maka smile again. Stein just sat at his desk, smoking a cigarette.  Of course, he asked Kid and Maka if it was okay before he did, though.  For once, detention flew by too fast.  Kid knew that once
